Mountbatten Festival of Music
We’ve had a busy year so far at BrassPassTV and although we have many exciting events to bring to you over the remainder of the year, over the next few blog posts we’re going to give you the rundown on the exciting events that have already happened so far!
We’ll kick it off with the Mountbatten Festival of Music that took place on the 15th and 16th March. We were privileged to be able to livestream for our BrassPass audience the amalgamation of the Queen’s Royal Marines bands. The event began on the Friday night with an array of musical repertoire ranging from traditional marches to theatre and film music, ensuring that there was something for everyone to enjoy.
2019 saw the introduction of a Saturday matinee performance to the festival, which shows the popularity of the performers on stage as all concerts were sold out. The quality of playing was second to none and it is clear to see why this is a band fit for the Royal Majesty herself. Set in the stunning Royal Albert Hall in London, the band accompanied their phenomenal performances with strobe lighting effects and background imagery. It is safe to say that the weekend was a huge success.
